Friends of the LVYO is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Corporation, incorporated & chartered by the State of Nevada. Friends of the LVYO is licensed by ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and an educational affiliate member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. They are also recipients of Nevada Arts Council grant awards and won the 29th Annual Governor's Arts Award for Leadership in Arts Education in March of 2009. In June of 2008, the Youth Philharmonic embarked on LVYO's Inaugural Tour, performing at world famous venues in Prague and Vienna.
