Jeffrey Lance
LVYO Brass Boot Camp Instructor
Known for his results-oriented teaching style, Mr. Lance is in his 11th year as Director of Bands at Silverado High School. He has one of the best and largest band programs in the Clark County School District, and his work with the students has won many coveted marching band awards both regionally and locally. In addition, Mr. Lance is the Woodwinds/Brass Specialist, coaching for the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras for 8 years, perfecting student performance and skill proficiencies. He recently was appointed as the Las Vegas Youth Symphony Conductor for 2011-2014.
His credentials include a Bachelor's - Tuba Performance from Brigham Young University along with a Masters - Tuba Performance from the University of New Mexico. Since 1995, Mr. Lance has played professionally as a freelance Tubist. Prominent in the community as an outstanding music educator, Mr. Lance is a perfect choice as Instructor for Brass Boot Camp. He started teaching privately in 1993 & his orchestral experiences include performing with the Utah Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, Santa Fe Symphony, and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
