| Symphony Orchestra, I wanted to let you know again how proud I am of you for our performances at Sammy Davis Plaza and Henderson Pavilion. While we still have quite a bit of work to do this year I feel we are off to a great start. There was an issue at rehearsal this past week that needs to be mentioned. I know you are all very busy. I also know that you feel pulled in so many directions between school and LVYO (and everything else that you do). but remember that we discussed at the beginning of the year that LVYO is also a commitment and we will not succeed as an ensemble if everyone is not willing to make sacrifices to be at the rehearsals each week and come prepared by practicing. There were many students who did not come to rehearsal on Wednesday because of school concerts. Your teachers made your call times late enough to accommodate our rehearsal. Even if you have to leave early (or come late) it is imperative that you make the effort to be there. We only have a few rehearsals left for our December concert so in this case every minute is extremely important. This Wednesday (Nov 3) the strings will do music check and re-seating. There is also an added rehearsal Please add to your calendar that on Friday December 4th we are going to have a rehearsal at Reed Whipple from 4-5:30pm. This added rehearsal will help us prepare for the concert that is on Tuesday December 8th.
