  Janae Taylor
Ms. Janae Taylor was recently selected as the new Conductor of the Youth Sinfonia. Ms. Taylor was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a Bachelors degree from Stetson University in Florida and is currently working on her Master's degree.

Ms Taylor taught at Lawrence Junior High School for four years. While there, she built one of the most highly-respected middle school orchestra programs in the district. She went on to teach part-time at Bonanza High School and work as the Orchestra Project Facilitator for Clark County School District. She currently works full time as the Project Facilitator. In this capacity, she provides support to the orchestra directors district-wide, by organizing professional development opportunities, mentoring, and helping to organize orchestra events such as festivals and Honor Orchestra. She also enjoys the time she spends working with students and directors as a guest clinician.

In addition to her classroom teaching experience, Ms. Taylor has been a bass coach for the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras, an instructor at the Las Vegas Bass Workshop, and has served as an adjudicator for the Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Ms. Taylor is a passionate music educator. She believes that music is an essential part of a quality, well-rounded education, providing students with many opportunities and learning experiences that cannot be duplicated. It is her hope to serve as an advocate for music through her work as a conductor, musician and teacher for many years to come.
